The October data for 2024 has been released today and it is now live on Qi’s website.

There was a big change this month, with the RBA releasing a large amount of new data, most of it around Device Present / Not Present statistics.
How many?
80 new data points.
Those data points will be reviewed and added to the dashboard once they are verified and enough data is in place. For many, the first data point is this month.
October 2024 Quick Review
Both Credit and Debit card purchase value fell month to month in seasonally adjusted terms, but both are still well above the result from one year ago, so growth is still strong.
Credit Card growth remained steady, with annual growth in Debit cards dropping from 8% to 7%. With that said, Debit Card purchase volume is closing in on $600b annually for the first time.
